Bill and I had a great run as you said on the web, our split times were pretty good as we were listening to all the advice we got from fellow Marathoners!
Bill and I stuck together for the first 28km which was really good as I slowed him down when he tried to speed off and he made me run a little bit faster than what I would have been on my own. He then decided it is time to take off and I could only see the yellow shirt from a distance. Caught up with him around km 36 as he had to stop with cramps, but was going strong again. A couple of motivational words between two old running mates and we both ended up finishing strong and proud! What a great day! I went to my Lazyrunner training this morning and although my legs are still a bit heavy, I managed just fine ;-) Guess I am ready to tackle the Glasshouse 50 in 2011! See you Thursday at the Track Happy Running Anja
Inspirational effort by these folk and a great result based on committed training and focus.
